Verse:
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” - 2 Corinthians 5:7
Ellen G. White Quote:
“Faith is trusting God believing that He loves us and knows best what is for our good.”
- Education, p. 253
Reflection:
Faith is not built on what we can see, but on whom we know. It calls us to trust God when the way seems unclear and the future uncertain. Often, faith grows strongest in the shadows when sight fails and only trust remains. Abraham walked by faith when he left his homeland not knowing where he was going. Noah built the ark when rain had never fallen. Each act of faith defied human logic but rested securely in divine assurance.
Walking by faith means surrendering our desire for control and allowing God to lead step by step. It is not the absence of fear, but the courage to move forward despite it. Faith transforms confusion into confidence because it shifts our focus from the problem to the Promise Keeper. The more we depend on God’s character, the less we rely on our own understanding.
When doubts rise and the path feels dim, remember that God’s silence never means His absence. His promises are steadfast; His love is unchanging. Even when you cannot trace His hand, you can still trust His heart. Keep walking the One who called you by name is walking right beside you, guiding you toward His perfect will.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Teach me to walk by faith and not by sight. When my heart trembles at the unknown, remind me that You are already there, making a way. Help me to trust Your timing, Your wisdom, and Your love even when I cannot understand Your plan. Strengthen my faith to move when You say “go” and to wait when You say “be still.” May my confidence rest not in what I see, but in who You are faithful, good, and true. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
