Bible Verse:
*“The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”*
— Proverbs 18:10 (KJV)

Ellen G. White Quote:
*“We are not to be anxious about what may happen tomorrow, for the Lord will be our strength and our sufficiency.”*

 Reflection

Life can feel unpredictable unexpected events, health scares, job insecurity, relationship struggles. But in all of it, God offers us a place of refuge. Proverbs 18:10 paints a vivid picture: “The name of the Lord is a strong tower.” Not just a shelter, but a fortified place of safety. When we run to Him, we find peace.

Imagine a child during a thunderstorm, running to a parent for comfort. The storm doesn't disappear, but the child feels safe in their arms. This is the same comfort we find when we call on the name of Jesus.
We’ve seen it in real life:
  •  A young couple facing an uncertain future, kneeling together and asking God to lead.
  • A student overwhelmed by exams, whispering a prayer for strength.
  •  A single parent unsure of how to make ends meet, but trusting that God will provide.
In every case, peace doesn’t come from the absence of problems but from the presence of God.
Ellen G. White reminds us not to worry about tomorrow. Why? Because “the Lord will be our strength.” We may not know what tomorrow holds, but we can be certain of Who holds tomorrow.

Let This Be Your Prayer Today:
Lord, today we run to You. When life feels overwhelming, remind us that Your name is our refuge. Help us not to live in fear or anxiety, but in the safety of Your promises. Be our strong tower, our calm, and our confidence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
