Reflection
As Jesus prepared for His final Passover, He gave an unusual instruction: look for a man carrying a water jar (Luke 22:10). That was not a typical sight. In those days, men didn’t carry water jars that task was usually for women.
This man stood out by doing something simple and unexpected. His name is not recorded. His words are not quoted. Yet he played a role in one of the holiest moments in history the Last Supper.
Because of his obedience, a room was ready for Jesus.
Some of us are called not to stand at the front, but to prepare behind the scenes to carry the jar, to open the door, to set the table. These quiet acts of faith often build the very places where God shows up.
You don’t have to be seen by many to be used by God. Even silent obedience can make space for divine encounters.
Prayer For The Day
Lord, Thank You for reminding me that even small tasks done in faith can become sacred. Help me not to seek recognition, but readiness. Whether I’m carrying a jar, opening a door, or serving in silence, may my life create room for You. Teach me the beauty of unnoticed faithfulness. Amen.
