Reflection
People may look at the surface of things words, behavior, or outward appearances but the Lord looks deeper. He weighs the heart. He knows not just what we do, but why we do it.
Sometimes, even good actions can come from selfish motives. At other times, small, unnoticed deeds can be precious to God because they are offered in love and humility.
Ellen White reminds us that God sees the inner life. He knows our struggles, our sincerity, and our quiet efforts to live faithfully. This is both a call to examine ourselves honestly and a comfort to those who serve without being seen.
Let us live today with hearts open before God, seeking to please Him in spirit and in truth.
Let This Be Your Prayer Today
“Lord, search my heart. Let my motives be pure and pleasing in Your sight. Help me live honestly before You, desiring only to do Your will.”
