Reflection
When the psalmist says, “The Lord is my portion,” he is expressing complete satisfaction in God alone. To have God as our portion means that He is enough for us more than wealth, success, or recognition.
Ellen White reminds us that no earthly treasure can equal the blessing of belonging to God and having Him as the center of our lives. Earthly portions fade, but what we have in God is lasting and full.
When we choose God as our portion, we commit to walk in His Word and trust in His promises, finding our joy and security in Him, not in passing things.
Let This Be Your Prayer Today
“Lord, You are my portion. Teach me to find my joy and my fulfillment in You alone. Help me to treasure Your Word and walk in Your ways today.”
