Bible Verse
“And the fire upon the altar shall be burning in it; it shall not be put out… The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.”
— Leviticus 6:12–13 (KJV)
Ellen G. White Quote
“God requires the whole heart... The bright beams of the Sun of Righteousness must shine into the heart and temple of the soul.”
— Testimonies for the Church, Vol. 2, p. 488
Reflection:
In the tabernacle, God commanded that the fire on the altar never go out. Day and night, someone had to tend it adding wood, removing ashes, keeping the flame alive.
It wasn’t just a ritual. It was a symbol of God’s continual presence a quiet burning that said, “I’m still here.”
Your life may not always feel like it’s burning bright. Some days it feels like smoldering embers. But God does not walk away from low flames. He tends them.
Even when your passion wanes or your spirit feels tired, He keeps the fire alive. Grace doesn’t depend on how strong your flame is but how close He stays. And He stays.
God never lets the altar of your life go cold. Even when you can’t feel the fire, *it’s still burning.
Prayer For This Day:
Lord, Thank You for being the Keeper of the flame. When my faith flickers, You fan it gently. When the world grows dark, You are still light. Help me tend to the sacred fire in my soul. Let it burn not in noise, but in quiet faithfulness. Amen.
