Bible Verse

Reflection
When tax collectors came asking, Jesus didn’t perform a flashy miracle. He sent Peter to go fishing. In the mouth of a fish, Peter would find exactly enough to pay what was owed.
It’s such a quiet miracle. Strange, even. Why not just create coins in His hand? Why this odd instruction?
Maybe it was to remind us that provision doesn’t always come through what makes sense. Sometimes it comes through obedience to small, specific acts. Casting the line. Opening the mouth. Trusting that God knows how to provide creatively, precisely, and lovingly.
Jesus met the need. Not too much. Not too little. Just enough.
God’s provision may not always be obvious but it’s always intentional. Even when it comes from the mouth of a fish.
Closing Prayer
Lord, Thank You for being the God of quiet provision. When I’m anxious about what I lack, help me to trust the line You’ve asked me to cast. Teach me to look for Your hand in the unexpected. And give me faith to believe that You already know where the answer is. Amen.
