Bible Verse
    “He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
    that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;
    his leaf also shall not wither;
    and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”
    — Psalm 1:3 (KJV)

Ellen G. White Quote
    “As a tree planted by the rivers of water is constantly refreshed, and its leaf does not wither, so it is with the soul that abides in Christ.
    The presence of Christ in the heart is a vitalizing power, strengthening the entire being.”
    — Steps to Christ, p. 69

Reflection
A tree cannot choose where to grow, but it thrives when planted near life-giving water. The believer, however, can choose to stay close to the living waters of God’s Word. When our hearts are rooted in Scripture and our souls are refreshed through secret prayer, we draw from the endless stream of God’s grace.
Even in seasons of trial or dryness, the one who abides in Christ remains alive with spiritual strength. Fruit may not come every day, but in God’s timing, our lives will bear love, patience, peace, and faith.
Ellen White reminds us that the “presence of Christ in the heart” gives power and vitality. It is not our effort that makes us fruitful  it is our connection to Christ, the Living Water.

Prayer
    Dear Heavenly Father,
    Plant my life deep beside the waters of Your Word. Teach me to draw daily strength through prayer and to stay rooted in Your promises. When trials come, help my faith not to wither. Let my life bear fruit that brings glory to You, in every season. In Jesus’ name, Amen.B
