Bible Verse:
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
— Philippians 4:7 (KJV)
Ellen G. White Quote:
“He who trusts in God will be kept in perfect peace. Whatever comes, he will not be afraid.”
— The Ministry of Healing, p. 481
Reflection
Peace is one of life’s greatest treasures and also one of its rarest. The world offers temporary calm, but only God offers a peace that goes beyond human understanding.
Paul writes this promise after urging us to take everything (our worries, fears, and needs) to God in prayer. When we do, God doesn’t just fix our problems; He fills us with His peace, which protects both our hearts and our minds.
This kind of peace doesn’t come from changed circumstances. It comes from trusting a God who is greater than our circumstances.
Think of Jesus in the storm, asleep in the boat while the disciples panicked. His peace came not from the calm of the sea, but from knowing the power of the Father. That same peace is available to us.
Ellen White reminds us that the one who trusts in God will not be afraid no matter what comes. When we lean on Christ, we find an anchor that holds steady in the storm.
Let This Be Your Prayer Today:
Lord, I long for Your peace, the kind that doesn't depend on my situation. Calm my heart and quiet my mind. Help me to trust You fully and rest in Your unshakable presence. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
