Light Through The Cracks

Verse
*“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:5*

Reflection
Every one of us has places in our lives where we’ve been hurt, disappointed, or felt broken. Those cracks may seem like flaws but in God’s hands, they become the very places where His glory shines the brightest.
We often think that to show God to others, we must be perfect, strong, and unshaken. But perfection hides the power of grace. When we allow His presence to fill our weaknesses, our broken pieces become windows through which His light reaches others.
Think of a cracked clay jar when a candle is placed inside, the light doesn’t stay hidden. It shines through every crack, turning what was once damaged into something radiant. Likewise, when we let go of our pride and bring our brokenness before God, His love fills those spaces and makes us a living testimony of His restoration.
Ellen G. White beautifully writes:
“Through the very trials that seem so bitter to you, God is working out your blessing. Every trial develops some principle of character.”
    — Christ’s Object Lessons, p. 61
Your cracks are not your weakness they are your story, your testimony, and your reminder that God’s strength is revealed through surrender. Let your light shine through them, so that others may find hope in their darkness too.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me even in my brokenness. Help me not to hide my cracks but to let Your light shine through them. Use my life as a reflection of Your grace, so that others may see Your beauty in my story. Teach me to trust that every trial You allow has a purpose and that Your light will always overcome the darkness. Amen.
