Bible Verse
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” - Psalm 119:105

Ellen G. White Quote
“God’s Word is the only safe guide in every peril.” - The Great Controversy, p. 598

Reflection
There are seasons when life feels steeped in shadow and uncertainty, where each step forward comes with hesitation and the way ahead is obscured. In those moments, the assurance of Psalm 119:105 reminds us that God does not require us to see the whole path He simply calls us to trust the light He gives for the next step. His Word acts as a gentle lamp sometimes not flooding the road with brilliance, but faithfully illuminating our journey bit by bit so we do not stumble. In the midst of confusion, opinions, and shifting emotions, the Bible becomes our unerring compass. Every promise and command in Scripture provides a guiding flame through storm, fog, or despair, encouraging us to walk steadily in faith and obedience, even when the landscape is uncertain and the world invites us to stray.

Holding Scripture close is more than finding information it is about receiving the life, strength, and safety God offers in the deepest darkness. God's Word does not merely show us where to go; it shapes our character and gives peace that outlasts circumstances. Listen for the quiet voice of the Spirit as you read, and let each passage shepherd your heart back to hope. As Ellen White reminds us, there is no surer guide than the living Word when choices are hard and safety seems elusive.

Prayer
Lord,
When my path is shrouded in darkness and uncertainty, help me to trust Your Word as my steadfast lamp. Illuminate the next step I must take, and grant me faith to walk where I cannot see far ahead. Guard my heart from confusion and anxiety, and center my mind on Your promises when opinions and feelings pull me in every direction. Lead me by Your truth and let Your Spirit give me peace in peril, courage in trial, and joy in obedience. May Your Word be my light, my strength, and my safe refuge, now and always.
Amen.
