Bible Verse
“Be still, and know that I am God…”
— Psalm 46:10 (KJV)

Ellen G. White Quote
“It is not the will of God that we should be uncertain and in darkness. He wants us to know Him, and to trust Him with intelligent faith.”
— Steps to Christ, p. 93

Reflection
Many people know about God but few truly know Him. The difference is relationship. Religion becomes real when we stop just doing things for God and start spending time with Him.
Psalm 46:10 is an invitation, not a suggestion. “Be still” means slow down, quiet your heart, and recognize that God is present. Not just a distant power, but a personal, loving Father.
Ellen White reminds us that God doesn’t want His children to walk in confusion or fear. He wants us to walk in confidence, built through daily communion with Him.
Getting to know God doesn’t require fancy words or long hours. It begins with sincere, honest prayer. It deepens as we read His Word not just for information, but to understand His heart. And it grows as we listen in silence, letting His Spirit speak to our hearts.
Let This Be Your Prayer Today
Father, help me to slow down and truly know You. Not just Your works but Your heart. Teach me to trust You more, walk with You daily, and love You deeply. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
