Bible Verse
"He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep."
— Psalm 121:3-4 (ESV)
Ellen G. White Quote
"Our heavenly Father has a thousand ways to provide for us, of which we know nothing." — The Ministry of Healing, p. 481
Reflection
While you rest, heaven is still awake. When you’re unaware, God is still arranging, opening, and protecting. The darkest hours are not empty hours they are preparation hours.
God is not a “day shift” worker. He’s guarding you through the night, steadying your steps, and already setting things in place for your morning.
Sometimes we lie awake, replaying worries in our mind, but God invites us to release them into His care. While we sleep, He continues the work of providing, guiding, and defending.
Just as a loving parent keeps watch over a child through the night, our Heavenly Father watches over us with far greater tenderness. Even in the seasons where nothing seems to be moving forward, He is quietly building the answers to our prayers.
The truth is God doesn’t need rest, but He knows that we do. That’s why He works while we sleep, so we can wake up to mercies that are new every morning.
Prayer For This Day
Father, Thank You for being my keeper, even when I’m not aware. Help me rest tonight knowing You never take a break from loving me. Amen.
