Bible Verse
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
— Romans 8:28 (KJV)
Ellen G. White Quote
“All our sufferings and sorrows, all our temptations and trials... all things work together for our good. All experiences and circumstances are God’s workmen whereby good is brought to us.”
— Ministry of Healing, p. 488
Reflection
Life doesn’t always make sense in the moment. We face pain, loss, unanswered prayers, and unexpected turns. Yet, God’s Word gives us a powerful promise: Nothing is wasted.
Romans 8:28 doesn’t say all things are good. It says all things work together for good when we love God and walk according to His purpose. Even your setbacks, disappointments, and heartaches are not beyond His control. God is a master weaver, using even the darkest threads to create something beautiful.
Ellen White echoes this truth, reminding us that every trial and experience is God’s tool to shape us and bless us. What may look like a detour or a disaster is often preparation for something greater.
Think of Joseph betrayed by brothers, imprisoned unfairly, forgotten by men, but never by God. In the end, he could say, “God meant it for good.” (Genesis 50:20)
So if you’re in a season of confusion or difficulty, hold on to this truth: God is working, even when you can’t see it.
Let This Be Your Prayer Today
Father, I may not understand what’s happening right now, but I trust that You are working it all for my good. Strengthen my faith to see Your hand even in my trials. Help me walk in Your purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
