Bible Verse
“What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.”
— Psalm 56:3 (KJV)

Ellen G. White Quote
“It is not the fear of the future, but the lack of faith that causes hearts to fail. Christ has made every provision for our peace.”
— The Desire of Ages, p. 330

Reflection
Fear is part of life we fear the unknown, failure, pain, or losing what we love. But the Bible gives us a simple, powerful response: “When I am afraid, I will trust in You.” David didn’t pretend he had no fear he chose to put his trust in God in the middle of it.
Faith doesn’t mean the absence of fear. It means we don’t let fear have the final word. We acknowledge the fear, then lean on the God who is greater than our fear.
Ellen White reminds us that it’s not our situation that destroys our peace it’s when we lose faith. Jesus has already made provision for every tomorrow. Trusting Him today keeps our hearts strong, even in uncertain times.
Like Peter walking on water, we begin to sink when we focus on the wind. But when our eyes are fixed on Jesus, we can walk above the storm.
Let This Be Your Prayer Today
Lord, I feel fear rising in me, but I choose faith. Help me trust You more than I fear what’s ahead. Keep my eyes on You, and fill me with peace that fear cannot shake. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
