Reflection
We live in a world that rarely stops. Schedules, screens, stress everything pushes us to go faster, try harder, do more. But in the middle of the chaos, God’s voice cuts through: “Be still, and know that I am God.”
Stillness is not weakness. It’s an act of trust. It says, “I don’t have to fix everything because God is in control.”
It’s in the stillness that we remember who God is mighty, loving, faithful and who we are in Him: safe, seen, and secure.
Think of a stormy sea. The disciples were panicking in the boat, but Jesus was sleeping because He knew who was in charge. And when He stood up, He said to the waves, “Peace, be still.” That same peace is offered to you today.
Ellen White reminds us that those who trust Christ and surrender their lives to Him find a calm that no circumstance can shake. In stillness, we are reminded: He is God. We are not. And that’s good news.
Let This Be Your Prayer Today
Lord, teach me to be still in Your presence. Quiet my anxious heart. Help me to let go of control and rest in the truth that You are God and You are enough. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
